My proposal breathes new life into Kallang’s aviation heritage by seamlessly integrating green spaces and biodiversity, fostering ecological connections that emanate beyond the site and refine the surrounding urban landscape. The design includes engaging features like tree-inspired climbing structures, blending play, rest, and learning. By creating a space where users can reconnect with nature, with a layout resembling a Tree-Ecosystem. Using biophilic and aircraft-inspired elements to honour the site's rich history, establishing my design as a symbol of sustainability and ecological awareness, it aligns with UNSDG Goal 15, by supporting biodiversity, community education, green urban living, and revitalizing cities. As part of Kallang Airport's aviation history, the design incorporates birds, nature's pioneer aviators, by constructing a migration corridor and refuge that informs users about protection initiatives. Therefore, Creating an identity for Kallang while enhancing the quality of life, offering a playful yet purposeful environment that bridges history, nature, and community.
